Saratoga Race Course to celebrate Adirondack Day

The New York Racing Association, Inc. will celebrate Adirondack Day at Saratoga Race Course on Wednesday, August 16. The day is presented by the Adirondack Regional Tourism Council in partnership with the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau, Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism and Warren County Department of Tourism.
The day will highlight the unique history, culture and tourism attractions of the Adirondack region, which includes Lake Placid, home to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games. The event will take place at the Berkshire Bank Saratoga Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience Adirondack life with a variety of activities, including log stamping, weaving, and balsam bag assembly. Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehabilitation Center will showcase live animals native to the Adirondacks.
The event will also include a craft beverage tasting with numerous regional breweries and wineries, including Adirondack Brewery; Adirondack Winery; Amazing Grace Vineyard and Winery; Big Tupper Brewing; Lake Placid Brewery; and Oval Craft Brewing.
Samples of fresh local farm food will be provided by North Country Creamery and Hidden Hollow Maple Farm.
