NYRA has long-standing relationships with the thoroughbred- community related charities. The Backstretch Employee Service Team, Belmont Child Care Association and the New York Racetrack Chaplaincy service the important backstretch community who care for the horses. The foundation continues to support through funding and in-kind contributions of thoroughbred advocacy and aftercare programs. Additionally, supporting organizations that work with injured jockeys such as the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.
The mission of the Belmont Child Care Association, Inc. is to provide a safe, supportive and academically inspiring environment for the children of parents working in the thoroughbred racing backstretch area, located at New York’s historic Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack and Saratoga Race Course. We are committed to promoting early childhood education, molding young minds and encouraging the fulfilment of dreams.

The NY Race Track Chaplaincy serves as the year around faith-based outreach ministry at Aqueduct Race Track, Ozone Park, NY – Belmont Park, Elmont, NY & Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga Springs, NY. It is the understanding of the NY Race Track Chaplaincy that one cannot minister to the spiritual needs of any individual without ministering to the whole person. For that reason, many social-educational, recreational activities and many awareness programs have been implemented for the past 28 years to address the various needs of the workforce in the horse racing industry in New York.
