Pick 6 carryover of $12,649 set for Friday at the Big A
On Thursday, the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5, which covers the last five races of every card of live racing at NYRA tracks and available exclusively to NYRA Bets members across the country, went unsolved, triggering a carryover of $30,190.
The Pick 6 sequence also went unsolved, leading to a single-day carryover of $12,649 when live racing resumes on Friday, November 30 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Thursday's Pick 6 sequence began in Race 4 as Twelfthofneverland (No. 14, $5.70) won the opening leg. Victory Racing Partners and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin followed in Race 5, the opening leg of the Late Pick 5, as post-time favorite Mr. Dougie Fresh (No. 3, $7.60) won. In Race 6, Trance (No. 9, $12.60) won for trainer Brad Cox and owner Zilla Racing Stables.
Exceed the Goal (No. 6, $30.20) secured the victory in Race 7 at odds of 14-1 followed by Dawn the Destroyer (No. 7, $23.40) besting post-time favorite Kathryn the Wise in the day's feature, an allowance optional claiming race.
In the day's finale, Rogue Nation (No. 9, $20.80) completed the trio of big prices, leading to carryovers for both the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 and Pick 6.
A consolation payout of $4,216 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Friday, the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 will begin in Race 5 with a post-time of 2:17 p.m. ET. The Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 with an approximate post of 1:47 p.m.
The day's feature race will be an allowance race for 3-year-olds and up going six furlongs on the outer turf, carded as Race 8.
