Contest includes races from Aqueduct Racetrack, Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park
NYRA's popular "Showdown" contest, a free online handicapping competition, will return on Saturday, February 3, with mythical wagering on races at Aqueduct Racetrack, Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park. The contest will coincide with telecasts of FOX Sports Saturday At The Races on FS2 over the course of five Saturdays in February and March.
Saturday's debut contest will feature top Triple Crown prep races including the Grade 3 Withers at Aqueduct, the Grade 2 Holy Bull at Gulfstream and the Grade 3 Robert B. Lewis from Santa Anita.
To sign up and play, please visit NYRA.com/showdown.
Participants will place mythical bets on select races during the broadcast of FOX Sports Saturday At The Races from 4-6:30 p.m. At the end of each race, the contestant with the highest bankroll will win one entry into a sweepstakes drawing for a 2018 Belmont Stakes Day VIP experience. The sweepstakes winner will be drawn at random in early April.
The player with the highest contest bankroll at the end of each day will receive 50,000 NYRA Bets points, a value of $50 redeemable for wagering at NYRABets.com.
Launched this summer at Saratoga Race Course as "Saratoga Showdown," the free online game returned in September and October on select weekends as "Belmont Showdown" and in early December NYRA offered an "Aqueduct Showdown" contest on Cigar Mile Day.
