Pick 6 carryover of $10K on Friday at Belmont at the Big A
Friday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $10,191 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $181.98 to bettors who selected 4-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a win from It Takes Heart [No. 5, $34.56] in a one-turn mile claimer with Ricardo Santana, Jr., aboard for trainer Jimmy Ferraro.
Ruben Silvera was aboard the next winner with the Rudy Rodriguez-conditioned She’s Cool [No. 8, $8.32] capturing a one-turn mile claimer, in Race 4. The next race saw Junior Alvarado navigate Helmet of Will [No. 4, $21.84] to victory in a six-furlong outer turf maiden optional claimer for trainer Mike Maker, in Race 5.
In Race 6, Maker doubled up with the Hall of Famer Joel Rosario-piloted Neshika [No. 11, $22.80] in a 1 1/16-mile inner turf maiden for New York-breds, for the trainer’s third win of the day. In Race 7, a nine-furlong state-bred allowance, Higher Force [No. 1, $4.78*] prevailed for another victory for the jockey-trainer combination of Silvera and Rodriguez.
With the carryover guaranteed heading into the Race 8 finale, a six-furlong outer turf claimer, the Miguel Clement-trained My Anticipation [No. 9, $30.26] closed to victory under Jaime Rodriguez.
Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:49 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:10 p.m.
