Pick 6 carryover of $34K on Thursday at Belmont at the Big A

Thursday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $34,908 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s nine-race program. 

The $1 Pick 6 returned $465.45 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly. 

Sunday’s Pick 6 kicked off in Race 4 as Maxaluna [No. 5, $8.10] prevailed in a 6 1/2-furlong claiming sprint with Kendrick Carmouche up for trainer Linda Rice.

Investment Process [No. 1, $5.02*], with Flavien Prat up for trainer Chad Brown, arrived in time to secure a maiden victory in Race 5, a 1 3/16-mile outer turf route; and was followed in Race 6 by upsetter Candy Moonshine [No. 6, $17.32] capturing a 1 1/16-mile inner turf maiden with Jaime Rodriguez at the helm for conditioner Michael Gorham.

Dylan Davis would sweep the late Pick 3, beginning with Intentious [No. 7, $7.04], who rallied up the rail to capture a seven-furlong state-bred allowance sprint in Race 7 for trainer David Duggan. Gratefully [No. 8, $14.04] battled back gamely to win Race 8, a six-furlong outer turf allowance optional-claimer, for conditioner Robert Falcone, Jr.

With only 5-of-11 horses covered in the Race 9 finale, a 1 1/16-mile state-bred maiden claimer over the inner turf, Davis won his third straight and fourth overall race on the card with the David Donk-trained Wind Dancer [No. 10, $44.32] to trigger the carryover.

Thursday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 2:10 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 1:10 p.m.
