Klaravich Stables’ Grade 2-placed Donor Advised looms large in Sunday’s Listed $175,000 Turnback the Alarm, a nine-furlong route for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up, at Belmont Park.

The Turnback the Alarm is slated as Race 8 on Sunday’s stacked 11-race card, which is headlined by the Grade 3, $200,000 Forty Niner in Race 9 and the Grade 3, $200,000 Bold Ruler in Race 2. The lucrative program also offers the $175,000 Casa Creed in Race 10 and the state-bred $175,000 Notebook in Race 4. First post is 11:30 a.m. Eastern.

Trained by five-time Eclipse Award-winner Chad Brown, Donor Advised enters from a 2 3/4-length second in the nine-furlong Grade 2 Beldame on September 25 here, an event won by the reigning Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Nitrogen, who is favored in Saturday’s Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Keeneland.

Donor Advised, off at 12-1 odds, was able to make up some ground down the lane on the prohibitive favorite, who was drifting out late.

“She ran a blinder,” said Lee Vickers, the New York-based assistant for Brown. “She was only a couple lengths behind her [Nitrogen] and I thought she almost gave her a bit of a scare in the straight.”

Donor Advised [post 4, Manny Franco], a 4-year-old Gun Runner chestnut, graduated at second asking last June at Belmont at the Big A in a nine-furlong maiden route versus elders. Her four-start sophomore season concluded with a third-place finish in a one-mile off-the-turf optional-claimer in July 2025 at Saratoga Race Course.

The $325,000 Keeneland September Yearling Sale purchased returned from a more than one-year layoff to win her seasonal debut in a one-mile optional-claimer in August at the Spa ahead of her Beldame try.

Donor Advised has worked back twice since, including a half-mile in 48.90 October 25 in company with Hypnotica over the Belmont main track.

“She worked really good, very happy with her. Moving absolutely on springs,” Vickers said. “I think she looks healthy, moving really well – she went 48 and change well in hand in company with a maiden.”

Donor Advised is out of the Malibu Moon mare Toy Moon, a half-sister to multiple graded stakes-winner Pomeroys Pistol, dam of dual graded stakes-winner Thousand Words.

Repole Stable’s Scalable [post 7, John Velazquez] will look to get back to winning form for Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher.

The 5-year-old Speightstown mare won her first two starts this year traveling nine furlongs at Aqueduct Racetrack, taking the Ladies in February ahead of the Listed Top Flight in March in which she bested returning rival Snowyte by 1 3/4-lengths.

Scalable was off-the-board in her next three outings before a brief freshening that saw her return with an improved performance when second in the one mile and 70 yard Philly Special on September 19 at Parx.

Bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings, Scalable was a $200,000 purchase at the 2022 Keeneland September Yearling Sale and is out of the Tapit mare Passion Flower, a half-sister to the Pletcher/Repole Stable-campaigned multiple Grade 1-victor Stopchargingmaria.

Larry Nafe’s Virginia-bred Pink Ruby [post 3, Paco Lopez] has hit the board in each of her last six outings, including a trio of wins.

Trained by Lindsay Schultz, the 4-year-old Connect filly won a 1 1/16-mile ratings handicap in April at Oaklawn Park ahead of an optional-claiming score traveling one-mile over sloppy and sealed footing in May at Delaware. She was a three-quarter length third in the one-mile Maggie L. Walker in July at Colonial before switching to turf for the first time in August and capturing the restricted All Brandy at 1 1/16-miles over firm footing at the Virginia oval.

Pink Ruby enters from a 3 1/2-length third in the restricted one mile and 70 yard Ogletown Handicap on September 11 at Delaware.

"She's in good form now and can do whatever we ask of her,” Schultz said. “She's had a great summer. I think if she has a nice outside trip where she can be comfortable, it helps her. It seems like she's improving. She's been really consistent, and this will be a step up for her, but she's got to go there now.”

Schultz said she is hopeful for a close-up trip.

"We always thought she was a miler type really, so this will be interesting to see. Ideally there's a little slower pace and she can be closer to the front end, we'll see,” Schultz said.

Pink Ruby is out of the winning Mineshaft mare Gemini R N, while her second dam is the dual graded stakes-winning Pleasant Tap mare Sapphire n’ Silk.

A strong field includes Grade 1-placed Snowyte [post 1, Junior Alvarado], who was last seen finishing fourth in the Spa’s Grade 1 Personal Ensign for trainer Danny Gargan; Grade 3-placed Standoutsensation [post 6, Kendrick Carmouche] for conditioner Kinnon LaRose; dual graded stakes-placed Yes It Tiz [post 5, Flavien Prat] for dual Eclipse Award-winning trainer Brad Cox; and Grade 2-placed Boutwell Time [post 2, Antonio Fresu] for trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero.
