The New York Racing Association (NYRA) and Winthrop-University Hospital's Breast Health Center today proudly announced its continued partnership to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage early detection.

On Saturday, October 8, in conjunction with "Super Saturday" at Belmont Park, highlighted by the running of the prestigious Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup, the New York Racing Association will be offering a special, all-inclusive ticket featuring clubhouse admission, a post parade program, track-view preferred seating and a complimentary gift bag with a fleece blanket for $50 per person. A portion of this special ticket's proceeds will be donated to the Breast Health Center at Winthrop-University Hospital.

The 1 ¼ mile Gold Cup offers automatic entry and a fees-paid trip to the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic on November 5 at Santa Anita Park.

"The New York Racing Association is once again proud to partner with Winthrop University Hospital, and their renowned Breast Health Center, to highlight breast cancer awareness throughout "Super Saturday" on October 8," said Lynn LaRocca, NYRA Senior VP and Chief Experience Officer. "Our loyal fans who purchase this enhanced ticket package will be contributing crucial dollars directly to the fight against breast cancer."

Representatives from Winthrop's Breast Health Center will be in attendance on October 8 to provide information for fans.  Winthrop representatives will also be available throughout the day. The New York Racing Association will also promote Winthrop's work through several media platforms during this time, including social media, NYRA TV as well as through its website, located at NYRA.com

"Winthrop's Breast Health Center has long been committed to providing patients with high quality, comprehensive breast health care," said Virginia Maurer, MD, Chief of the Division of Breast Surgery, and Director of the Breast Health Program at Winthrop.  "It is an honor to partner with the New York Racing Association once again to bring life-saving education directly to the ones who need it most - our community members - and we appreciate all of the continued efforts in support of our quality breast health program."
