NYRA announces series of job fairs for Belmont Stakes Racing Festival

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced a series of jobs fairs to fill temporary employment positions in support of the 2019 Belmont Stakes Racing Festival from Thursday, June 6 to Saturday, June 8 at Belmont Park.
NYRA is seeking talented and ambitious applicants ready to serve horseplayers and racing fans from around the world during the three-day racing festival, which culminates on June 8 with the third and final leg of racing's Triple Crown, the 151st running of the Belmont Stakes.
NYRA annually hires approximately 1,200 temporary employees to serve guests and assist operations during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival. To fill these positions on behalf of NYRA, Integrated Staffing will be hosting three job fairs at Belmont Park in Elmont and another at Aqueduct Racetrack in Ozone Park.
The jobs at Belmont Park will be for the following positions: betting clerks, parking attendants, white caps, cashiers, hosts and hostesses, ushers and supervisors. Betting clerks and cashiers must be at least 18 years of age, present a current resume and have a minimum of three years of cash-handling experience.
The job fairs in order:
From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Aqueduct Racetrack: Aqueduct Room (fourth floor). Job fair attendees should enter the facility through the Turf & Field entrance (facing the Belt Parkway). Use the Turf & Field elevator to go to the Aqueduct Room.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at Belmont Park: Turf and Field Club (fourth floor) of the Clubhouse. Job fair attendees should enter Belmont Park through Gate 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike), park in the silver lot and enter through the main Clubhouse entrance.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28 at Belmont Park: Turf and Field Club (fourth floor) of the Clubhouse. Job fair attendees should enter Belmont Park through Gate 5 (off Hempstead Turnpike), park in the silver lot and enter through the main Clubhouse entrance.

Belmont Park is at 2150 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont. Directions are by car: Cross Island Parkway, Exit 26B (traveling south) and Exit 26B (traveling north); and by railroad: via the LIRR from Jamaica, Woodside or Penn Station).
Aqueduct Racetrack is at 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard, South Ozone Park. Directions are by car: (from points North) Van Wyck Expressway to Exit 2 (Rockaway Boulevard); (from points East) Exit 18B off the Belt Parkway; from points West: Exit 19 off the Belt Parkway; by subway: "A" Train to the Aqueduct Racetrack Station; and by bus: Q7, Q11, Q37 & Q41.
Applicants for positions, other than betting clerks and admission cashiers, must be at least 16 years of age with original working papers and have with them two forms of identification (I-9 appropriate).
