Jockey Legends Day returns to Saratoga Race Course on August 6

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will welcome top jockeys from Saratoga Race Course history back to the Spa for the fourth annual Jockey Legends Day, presented by Fasig-Tipton, on Sunday, August 6.

 

Top riders scheduled to attend include Angel Cordero Jr., Ramon Dominguez, Richard Migliore, Manny Ycaza, Jose Santos, Braulio Baeza, Jean Luc Samyn, Frank Lovato, Jr., Robbie Davis, Nick Santagata, and David Erb.

 

The legendary jockeys will participate in a special autograph session from noon to 1 p.m. at the Jockey Silks Room Porch. Autographs will be available with a suggested $10 donation to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.

 

Following the day's fifth race, the riders will be honored with a special red carpet ceremony on the track.

 

Jockey Legends Day is part of the Fasig-Tipton Festival of Racing, featuring seven stakes with purses totaling $2.45 million, including the Grade 1, $1.2 million Whitney and Grade 1, $500,000 Longines Test on Saturday, and the $250,000 Troy on Sunday.

 

Reserved seats at Saratoga Race Course, including reserved tables in the Miller Lite Picnic Paddock and Fourstardave Sports Bar, are available through www.Ticketmaster.com.
