NYRA to partner with Altitude Sports to air Saratoga Live this Summer

by

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) and Altitude Sports announced an agreement today for the regional cable network to telecast “Saratoga Live” from Saratoga Race Course throughout the 2016 meet.

Altitude will televise 38 shows to its national audience of 5.7 million homes across a 10-state geographic area encompassing the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. “Saratoga Live” will continue to be broadcast on MSG+.

Featuring in-depth analysis of the races from historic Saratoga Racecourse, TV analysts Jason Blewitt, former Eclipse Award-winning jockey Richard Migliore, renowned handicapper Andy Serling, Maggie Wolfendale’s paddock analysis. “Saratoga Live” will debut July 22, the opening day of the 2016 season.

The package includes an action-filled schedule that includes a stakes race in every telecast. The shows will air at 5 p.m. ET (3 p.m. MT) on most race days.

“We are excited to team with Altitude and showcase Saratoga’s world-class thoroughbred racing in millions of new homes,” said Tony Allevato, NYRA’s executive producer and president of NYRA Bets. “Altitude’s fast-growing network and commitment to presenting live sports makes them the perfect partner to help NYRA attract new fans across the Midwest.”

“Partnering with NYRA will help us bring high-caliber racing to a new fan base and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to showcase Saratoga’s racing schedule across the country,” said Doug Ballmer, Altitude’s senior director of programming.

The partnership with Altitude Sports is part of an exciting summer, as NYRA will launch a new deposit wager (ADW) platform with NYRA Bets set to take the place of the current program, NYRA Rewards. Viewers in Altitude Sports’ coverage area will soon be able to wager on New York’s world-class racing, as NYRA Bets will be open to horseplayers from across the country. NYRA Rewards was formerly restricted to New York State residents.
