By subscription of $1,000 each which should accompany the nomination. $7,500 to pass the entry box and an additional $7,500 to start. The purse will be divided as follows: $550,000 to the winner, $200,000 to second, $120,000 to third, $60,000 to fourth, $40,000 to fifth and $30,000 to be divided equally amongst the remaining finishers. The Whitney has been selected as one of the Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" Challenge Races.
