Jockey Rajiv Maragh is the latest guest on the Across the Board with Andy Serling podcast, now available for download.
Maragh joined Serling at Belmont Park to discuss a variety of topics including his lifelong passion for the game since his birth into a racing family in Kingston, Jamaica. The two also discuss his arrival in the United States, his journey to riding full-time on the NYRA circuit as well as his remarkable 17-month recovery after suffering a severe spill in the 2014 Jockey Club Gold Cup highlighted by winning last April's Wood Memorial aboard Irish War Cry.
Considered one of the top riders in the country with more than 1,700 winners in his career and earnings of more than $88 million in purses, Maragh's career highlights include riding 2014 Turf Male and Older Turf Male Champion Main Sequence and earning back-to-back victories in 2012-13 aboard Groupie Doll in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.
