Double Pick 6 carryover of nearly 54K at Belmont Park on Friday

The Pick 6 sequence went unsolved for a second straight day Thursday at Belmont Park, resulting in a double carryover of $53,945 heading into Friday's card.

Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence began in Race 4 with Filly Joel (No. 8, $29.20) upsetting an eight-horse field at odds of 13-1. Doups Point (No. 10, $7.10) and Presence of Mind (No. 3, $7) followed in Races 5 and 6.

In Race 7, Danielle’s Pride (No. 4) triggered the day’s biggest upset at 28-1. The David Donk trainee returned $59 for a $2 win wager. In the card’s penultimate race, jockey Manny Franco recorded his fourth victory on the day aboard post-time favorite Nisha (No. 5, $6).

Outrageous Bet (No. 3, $9) took the day’s finale at odds of 7-2 for trainer Gary Contessa and owners Windhorse Thoroughbreds.

A consolation payout of $931 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners.

Friday’s Pick 6 sequence will begin in Race 4 with a post-time of 3:05 p.m. ET. The sequence will be highlighted by an $80,000 allowance optional-claiming race for fillies and mares 3-years-old on the inner turf going 6 furlongs in Race 8 featuring a field of nine with three main track only entrants.
