Horse Profile: Leading Change

Though unraced as a two-year-old, Leading Change had shown heaps of promise in his first two career starts. This son of Gun Runner broke his maiden by 6 1/2 lengths before winning the Grade 3 Indiana Derby.

In the DraftKings Travers, Leading Change sat a stalking trip, holding off all closers while pushing past pacesetter Napoleon Solo in the final strides.

Trainer Brad Cox won the 2021 Travers with Essential Quality. This Travers victory was also the second for jockey Manny Franco, who was aboard Tiz The Law in 2020.
