Double Pick 6 carryover of $79K on Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Sunday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Double Pick 6 carryover of $79,410 after the multi-race wager went unsolved for the second consecutive day on Saturday’s 10-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,449.15 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Saturday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 with a pacesetting win from the New York-bred Looms Boldly [No. 1, $18.78] versus open company in a seven-furlong claimer with Christopher Elliott aboard for trainer Orlando Noda.
Elliott and Noda doubled up with Ridgewood Runner [No. 3, $7] in Race 6, a one-turn mile claimer. The next race saw Lane Luzzi and Lean Music Machine [No. 7, $16.06] capture a six-furlong maiden claimer for trainer Billy Morey, in Race 7.
In Race 8, Ruben Silvera visited the winner’s circle aboard Union Express [No. 2, $22.68] in a one-turn mile claimer for trainer Gregory Charlerie. In Race 9, a one-turn mile starter allowance, the Chad Summers-trained Bermuda Blitz [No. 1, $10.14] secured jockey Jaime Rodriguez his third win of the day with a narrow score over the favored Nuanced.
With the two-day carryover already guaranteed before the Race 10 finale, a one-turn mile allowance for New York-breds, the Ricardo Santana, Jr.-piloted favorite Moe Eighty Eight [No. 8, $6.76*] drew off to victory for conditioner John Ortiz.
Sunday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 4 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 12:10 p.m.
