The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced it will host a job fair on Wednesday, August 19 to recruit employees for job opportunities at the new Belmont Park.

The Belmont Park job fair will be held from 2-7 p.m. in the Theater Room at the Elmont Memorial Library located at 700 Hempstead Turnpike.

Prospective workers will be able to meet with NYRA representatives and explore job opportunities across a wide range of departments. Available positions will support box office operations, admissions, guest services, hospitality, sales, and promotional activities.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid photo ID along with a social security card or I9 alternative. Applicants must be available to work September 18-20, as well as additional weekends and event days as needed.

Following a three-year project to transform Belmont Park into a world-class sports and entertainment destination, a new and re-imagined Belmont Park will open for live racing on September 18.

The Opening Day card will be anchored by the Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup, which provides a “Win and You’re In” berth to the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

The Belmont Park fall meet will feature 32 graded events among 72 stakes races worth $17.7 million in total purses. Highlighted by a series of major Saturday race days beginning in September and continuing through Cigar Mile Day on December 5, the fall meet will conclude on December 6.
