Thursday’s card at Saratoga Race Course will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $99,020 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s 10-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $634.73 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Sunday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 with Factory Setting [No. 1, $5.70*] prevailing in a state-bred 1 1/16-mile maiden on the Mellon turf under Flavien Prat for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.
Dylan Davis piloted the dual Hall of Famer Mark Casse-conditioned Braums Run [No. 6, $8.72] to victory in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden, in Race 6. The next race saw Davis visit the winner’s circle for the second time aboard Silvology [No. 1, $13.68] in a 1 3/8-mile optional claimer on the inner turf for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey, in Race 7.
In Race 8, a one-mile allowance from the Wilson Chute, rider Jaime Rodriguez navigated Georgia Magic [No. 1, $13.28] to victory for trainer Steven Schauer. In Race 9, the Grade 3, $225,000 Quick Call presented by the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, Tyler Gaffalione guided Learntodiscover [No. 2, $49.96] to a closing victory for trainer Brendan Walsh.
With only 2-of-9 horses covered in the Race 10 finale, a 1 1/16-mile claimer on the inner turf, the Jim Bond-trained New York-bred Roagna [No. 2, $10.70] closed successfully with Edgard Zayas in the saddle, triggering the carryover.
Thursday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 4 at approximately 2:54 p.m. Eastern on a nine-race program that features the state-bred $200,000 Suzie O’Cain [Race 7]. First post is 1:10 p.m. Eastern.
