America's Day at the Races to provide coverage of G1 Mouttet Mile from Caymanas Park and Cigar Mile Day at Aqueduct Racetrack
The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced the schedule of television coverage for Saturday’s Mouttet Mile Invitational at Caymanas Park in Jamaica, which will air on America’s Day at the Races for the third consecutive year.
Saturday’s Americas Day at the Races coverage, including live racing from Caymanas Park and Aqueduct Racetrack, will begin on FS1 at 11 a.m. Eastern before shifting to FS2 at 2 p.m.
The Mouttet Mile Invitational, a Grade 1 event for 3-year-olds and up over one mile, boasts the largest purse in the English-speaking Caribbean at $300,000 for 2025. Hall of Fame jockey Javier Castellano is scheduled to compete in the Mouttet Mile for the first time, having secured the mount on Rideallday.
In addition to on-site analysis from Caymanas Park of the Grade 1 Mouttet Mile, Grade 3 Chairman’s Plate Invitational and Grade 1 Bruceontheloose Sprint Trophy, America’s Day at the Races, the acclaimed national telecast produced by NYRA in partnership with FOX Sports, will highlight the impact of Hurricane Melissa and the ongoing storm recovery and rebuilding efforts throughout the island.
Viewers can look forward to commentary and insights at Caymanas Park from NYRA’s Sr. Racing Analyst Andy Serling alongside Maggie Wolfendale, NYRA Television Analyst and Reporter.
Saturday’s Cigar Mile Day edition of America’s Day at the Races features six stakes at the Big A worth a combined $2.25 million in total purse money topped by the Grade 2, $500,000 Cigar Mile Handicap for 3-year-olds and up in Race 10.
Also featured are a pair of Grade 2, $250,000 nine-furlong qualifiers offering 10-5-3-2-1 points to the top-five finishers, respectively, for the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby and Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks in the Remsen [Race 9] for juveniles and the Demoiselle [Race 3] for juvenile fillies.
A lucrative Aqueduct program is bolstered by the Grade 3, $250,000 Elite Power [Race 5] at six furlongs for 3-years-old and up with the stacked lineup also showcasing the New York Stallion Stakes Series with a pair of $500,000 events at seven furlongs for juveniles that will see eligible New York-sired fillies contest the NYSSS Fifth Avenue [Race 8], alongside the NYSSS Great White Way [Race 11].
