Double Pick 6 carryover of $91K on Thursday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Thursday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a double Pick 6 carryover of $91,497 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Wednesday’s nine-race program for the second consecutive card.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $579.54 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Wednesday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with the Rick Dutrow, Jr.-trained Willintoriskitall [No. 3, $9.82] scoring a state-bred optional claiming win for the middle part of a natural hat trick for jockey Manny Franco, who landed in the winner’s circle again in Race 5, a state-bred maiden claiming sprint, with Anyway [No. 1, $7.10] for Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher.
Race 6 saw the Ruben Silvera-piloted Aggregation [No. 3, $12.30] land a claiming victory for conditioner Jamie Ness ahead of a debut score from the Amelia Green-trained Easy Decision [No. 8, $5.96*] with Reylu Gutierrez up in Race 7, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight.
The largest upset in the sequence came in Race 8, an open optional claiming tilt, when the New York-bred Walk With Me [No. 6, $26.32] prevailed under Eric Cancel for trainer David Duggan.
With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 9 finale, the Linda Rice-trained Kid Rich [No. 8, $10.26] graduated with Kendrick Carmouche up in the maiden claiming sprint.
Thursday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:11 p.m. Eastern. First post on the nine-race card is 12:40 p.m. Eastern.
