Thursday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $27,997 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $701 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Sunday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with a mild upset as I See You Lookin [No. 7, $14.40] took a one-turn mile claimer with Luis Rivera, Jr. aboard for trainer Gregory Sacco.
Trainer Graham Motion sent out the next winner with the Kendrick Carmouche-piloted Laurelin [No. 5, $13.40], who captured a 1 1/16-mile turf maiden in Race 5. One race later, the favored City of Oscars [No. 7, $5.30*] won a six-furlong turf maiden with Dylan Davis in the irons for Hall of Famer Mark Casse in Race 6.
In Race 7, a one-turn mile claimer, Rock the Weekend [No. 4, $31.40] launched an upset with Katie Davis up for trainer Lolita Shivmangal. In Race 8, a one-mile turf state-bred optional-claimer, the favored Collaboration [No. 9, $6.30*] earned another win for Dylan Davis, this time for conditioner Linda Rice.
With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 9 finale, a nine-furlong state-bred maiden claimer on the lawn, the Manny Franco-piloted and David Duggan-conditioned Lady Laoban [No. 5, $7.60] rallied to her first career victory.
Thursday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at approximately 1:41 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 12:40 p.m.
