Pick 6 carryover of $12K on Friday at Aqueduct Racetrack

Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $12,189 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s seven-race program.  

The $1 Pick 6 returned $4,063.27 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.  

Thursday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 2 with a win from Nightscope [No. 1, $8.32] in a one-turn mile New York-bred maiden claimer with jockey Jose Lezcano aboard for trainer Linda Rice.

Trainer Joe Sharp sent out the next winner as the Manny Franco-piloted Big Dig [No. 6, $4.16*] captured a nine-furlong starter allowance, in Race 3. The next race saw jockey Dalila Rivera and the 11-1 shot Daytona Moonshine [No. 6, $24.42] win a nine-furlong maiden claimer for trainer Norman Follett, in Race 4.

In Race 5, Gokhan Kocakaya and Play [No. 3, $15.72] held off challengers to each side to win a six-furlong claimer for trainer Ilkay Kantarmaci. In Race 6, a one-turn mile starter allowance, the Rice-trained Fort Nelson [No. 6, $4.92*] was victorious under Kendrick Carmouche. 

With the carryover guaranteed ahead of the Race 7 finale, a 5 1/2-furlong maiden claimer, the Lezcano-ridden Maxisure [No. 6, $11.48] came out on top for conditioner Chris Englehart. 

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 at approximately 2:16 p.m. Eastern. First post is 1:10 p.m.
