Pick 6 carryover of $13K on Saturday at Belmont at the Big A
Saturday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $13,427 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $4,475.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday’s sequence kicked off in Race 4 with Palace Boss [No. 1, $9.90] taking a one-mile state-bred maiden tilt with Luis Rivera, Jr. in the irons for trainer Horacio De Paz.
Vinsanity [No. 8, $26] followed in Race 5, a starter optional-claiming sprint over the outer turf, with Jose Lezcano at the helm for conditioner Antonio Arriaga. In Race 6, a one-turn mile claimer, Our Liberty Belle [No. 3, $19.60] prevailed for jockey Christopher Elliott and trainer Wayne Potts.
Sandy’s Garden [No. 2, $14.60] was game on the front end to capture Race 7, a six-furlong optional-claiming sprint, with Kendrick Carmouche in the irons for trainer Joe Lee one race before Hall of Famer Javier Castellano threaded the needle down the lane with the Graham Motion-trained Spool [No. 10, $4*] to capture a 1 1/16-mile state-bred outer turf allowance in Race 8
With the carryover already confirmed heading into Race 9, a one-mile inner turf maiden, Consumer Sentiment [No. 10, $5.10*] pounced to victory with Lezcano up for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.
Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 6 at approximately 2:31 p.m. Eastern and includes the Listed $150,000 Elusive Quality in Race 7 and the Grade 2, $200,000 Fort Marcy in Race 10. First post for the 11-race card is 12:00 p.m.
