Pick 6 carryover of $16K on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Saturday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $16,284 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,085.64 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with a win from Eva Ready [No. 2, $10.04] in a six-furlong outer turf maiden with Flavien Prat aboard for five-time Eclipse Award-winning trainer Chad Brown.
Trainer Graham Motion sent out the next winner as the Prat-piloted Jaxer [No. 6, $8.68] captured the $125,000 Notebook, in Race 5. The next race saw Ricardo Santana, Jr. and Liamster [No. 5, $12.14] win a 6 1/2-furlong New York-bred maiden claimer for trainer Tom Morley, in Race 6.
In Race 7, Kendrick Carmouche visited the winner’s circle aboard Brave Buck [No. 5, $5.76*] in a 6 1/2-furlong claimer for trainer Linda Rice. In Race 8, a 1 1/16-mile starter optional claimer on the inner turf, Blown Cover [No. 10, $18.28] rallied late to victory under Ruben Silvera for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.
With only 1-of-10 horses covered in the Race 9 finale, a six-furlong maiden on the outer turf for New York-breds, the Morley-trained Cerro Rico [No. 3, $10.28] prevailed with Hall of Famer John Velazquez in the saddle.
Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 5 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Eastern. First post is 11:40 a.m. for the 10-race card that features the Grade 3, $350,000 Jockey Club Oaks [Race 7] and the Listed $150,000 Knickerbocker [Race 9].
