Pick 6 carryover of $18K on Wednesday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Wednesday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $18,601 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s eight-race program.
The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) previously announced the cancelation of Saturday and Sunday’s live racing programs at Aqueduct Racetrack due to weather associated with a forecasted winter storm. Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting on Saturday but closed to the public on Sunday. Online wagering is available via NYRABets.com.
Friday's $1 Pick 6 returned $688.94 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a win from New York-bred Sabby Sunset [No. 4, $3.36*] in a six-furlong maiden claimer with jockey Reylu Gutierrez aboard for trainer John Terranova.
Dual Eclipse Award-winning trainer Brad Cox sent out the next winner as the Jaime Rodriguez-piloted Shoot the Nickel [No. 4, $3.68*] captured a seven-furlong claimer, in Race 4. The next race saw jockey Manny Franco and Strike a Rose [No. 2, $13.96] win a maiden optional claimer sprinting six furlongs for trainer Jeremiah Englehart, in Race 5.
In Race 6, Omar Hernandez Moreno engineered an upset win aboard 29-1 shot Liberty Rising [No. 1, $61.12] in a six-furlong New York-bred starter allowance for conditioner Patrick Quick. In Race 7, a one-turn mile claimer, the Linda Rice-trained New York-bred Top of the Table [No. 10, $9.24] and jockey Sahin Civaci edged the favored Mitole’s Girl in the final sixteenth.
With only Daytona Moonshine covered in the Race 8 finale, a one-turn mile maiden claimer, the Jose Gomez-ridden Enduring Angel [No. 8, $24.96] was victorious for conditioner Rudy Rodriguez, triggering the carryover.
Wednesday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at approximately 1:38 p.m. Eastern. First post for the eight-race card is 12:40 p.m.
