Pick 6 carryover of $20K on Saturday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $20,630 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $1,167.78 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 4 with a win from Tiz Purple [No. 6, $17.94] in a 6 1/2-furlong claimer with Ruben Silvera aboard for trainer Jamie Ness.
Trainer Chad Summers sent out the next winner as the Luis Rivera, Jr.-piloted Cravings [No. 3, $16.08] captured a six-furlong maiden claimer, in Race 5. The next race saw Hall of Fame jockey Joel Rosario and I’m Buzzy [No. 7, $6.92] rally to win a seven-furlong claimer for trainer Charlie Baker, in Race 6.
In Race 7, Kendrick Carmouche visited the winner’s circle aboard Maxaluna [No. 9, $3.76*] in a 6 1/2-furlong claimer for trainer Linda Rice. In Race 8, a 6 1/2-furlong optional claimer, the Hall of Famer Bill Mott-trained Roswell [No. 4, $10.76], with Hall of Famer John Velazquez up, handed the 5-for-5 New York-bred With the Angels her first career defeat.
With the carryover already guaranteed before the Race 9 finale, a one-turn mile auction maiden optional claimer, the Jose Lezcano-ridden New York-bred Lady Rose [No. 8, $26.04] prevailed for Rice’s third training victory on the card.
Saturday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 5 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Eastern. First post for the 10-race card is 11:40 a.m.
