Pick 6 carryover of $22K on Friday at Belmont at the Big A

Friday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $22,381 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program. 

The $1 Pick 6 returned $828.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly. 

Thursday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with a win from Graywing [No. 6, $13] in a 6 1/2-furlong starter optional claimer with Manny Franco aboard for trainer Oscar Barrera, III.

Ricardo Santana, Jr., was aboard the next winner with the Mike Maker-conditioned Have You Heard [No. 1, $10.40] capturing a one-mile claimer, in Race 4. The next race saw Hall of Famer Javier Castellano navigate Sunset Park [No. 3, $6] to victory in a 6 1/2-furlong state-bred maiden claimer for trainer Bruce Levine, in Race 5. 

In Race 6, Santana, Jr. piloted Twenty Four Mamba [No. 1, $11] to victory in a seven-furlong optional claimer for trainer Tom Morley. In Race 7, a one-mile turf optional claimer, Sherlock’s Jewel [No. 6, $12.20] closed to victory over the favored Donegal Momentum, with Flavien Prat aboard for Hall of Famer Shug McGaughey.

With just 2-of-8 horses covered heading into the Race 8 finale, a six-furlong turf state-bred maiden claimer, the Ray Handal-trained Hard Par [No. 13, $10.80] prevailed for a Prat riding double, triggering the carryover. 

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:35 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:10 p.m.
