Pick 6 carryover of $31K on Wednesday at Aqueduct Racetrack

Wednesday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $31,372 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s nine-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $40.08 to bettors who selected 4-of-6 winners correctly.  



Sunday’s Pick 6 kicked off in Race 4 as Sail With the Wind [No. 3, $7.02*] captured an inner turf allowance route for New York-bred fillies and mares with Ricardo Santana, Jr. up for trainer Jeremiah Englehart.

Talk to Me Jimmy [No. 1, $13.20] followed in Race 5 by capturing a one-turn mile maiden for state-bred juveniles with Manny Franco in the irons for conditioner Rudy Rodriguez. Franco doubled up with Silsbee [No. 3, $6.20*] in Race 6, a six-furlong outer turf optional-claiming sprint for state-bred fillies and mares, for trainer George Weaver.

Ruben Silvera engineered the biggest upset in the sequence, guiding the Bruce Levine-trained Heavens Lee [No. 6, $83.54] to victory in a state-bred maiden claiming route for fillies and mares over the inner turf in Race 7. 

Broderick [No. 4, $47.94] provided yet another upset in Race 8, a one-turn claiming mile for 3-year-olds and up, with Jorge Panaijo aboard for trainer Patrick Reynolds.

With the carryover already confirmed heading into the Race 9 finale, a 1 1/16-mile outer turf route for 3-years-old and up, Flavien Prat guided the favored Hamilton’s Way [No. 4, $4.46*] to victory for dual Eclipse Award-winning trainer Brad Cox.

Wednesday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at 1:40 p.m. Eastern. First post on the nine-race card is 12:10 p.m.
