Pick 6 carryover of $37K when racing resumes Wednesday at Aqueduct Racetrack
Wednesday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $37,412 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s 11-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $6,235.37 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 6 with a win from Scalable [No. 3, $12.50] in the nine-furlong $135,000 Ladies giving Hall of Fame-trainer Todd Pletcher and rider Kendrick Carmouche their third wins of the day, and second stakes win together for owner Repole Stable after Be You won the Listed Toboggan earlier.
Trainer Gregory Charlerie sent out the next winner as the Reylu Gutierrez-piloted Skylander [No. 10, $7.90*] captured a one-turn mile claimer, in Race 7. The next race saw Jaime Rodriguez and Two Bits [No. 5, $7.54] win the seven-furlong $135,000 Ruthless for trainer Amelia Green, in Race 8.
In Race 9, Luis Rivera, Jr. visited the winner’s circle aboard Makes Sense [No. 7, $25.58] in a nine-furlong optional claimer for trainer Chad Summers. In Race 10, the nine-furlong Listed $200,000 Withers, Ruben Silvera navigated the New York-bred Talk to Me Jimmy [No. 6, $26.54] to victory in open company for trainer Rudy Rodriguez, picking up the maximum allotment of the 20-10-6-4-2 Kentucky Derby qualifying points on offer.
With the carryover already guaranteed before the Race 11 finale, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight for New York-breds, the Dimitrios Synnefias-trained Greek Goddess [No. 5, $15.40] proved best with Jaime Rodriguez in the saddle for his second win of the day.
Live racing is canceled on Saturday and Sunday at Aqueduct Racetrack due to arctic temperatures and extremely low wind chill values forecast to impact the New York metropolitan area throughout the weekend. Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcast operations on Saturday and Sunday.
Live racing resumes Wednesday at the Big A with a nine-race card. First post is 12:40 p.m. Eastern and the Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:11 p.m.
