Fans save $5 on Travers Day admission with advance purchase

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced that fans interested in attending Travers Day on Saturday, August 26 will save $5 on the cost of general admission when purchasing tickets in advance.

Tickets may be purchased in-person at the NYRA Box Office by Gate A at Saratoga Race Course or online at NYRA.com/Travers. General admission tickets are on sale in advance for $25. The walk-up price on Travers Day is $30.

Gates open at 7 a.m. on Travers Day with first post time of 11:40 a.m. Eastern. Breakfast and tram tours are not offered on Travers Day.

The 154th running of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers headlines a blockbuster program on August 26 that will include five Grade 1 stakes and an automatic berth in the Breeders’ Cup to the winner of the Grade 1, $750,000 Resorts World Casino Sword Dancer [Turf] and Grade 1, $500,000 Ballerina Handicap [Filly and Mare Sprint.] The stacked card will also include the Grade 1, $500,000 Forego, and the Grade 1, $500,000 H. Allen Jerkens Memorial.

An expanded edition of Saratoga Live will begin at 11:30 a.m. on FS2 with continuing coverage on FS1 at 1:30 p.m. FOX SARATOGA SATURDAY will then present live coverage and analysis of the Travers Day stakes action beginning at 3 p.m.

The summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 4. Racing is conducted five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, apart from the final week, when the meet will conclude on Labor Day.
