Saratoga Live to offer expanded coverage of Arlington Park's International Festival Of Racing on Fox Sports 2, MSG+ and Altitude Sports

The New York Racing Association announced today Saratoga Live will add 30 minutes to its regular show on Saturday, August 13 to include live coverage of the International Festival of Racing from Arlington Park along with the Grade 1, $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap and Grade 2, $200,000 Adirondack for Saratoga Race Course.

Live from Arlington Park, racing fans will be able to watch:

  • Arlington Million, $1 million (Grade 1) 1 ¼ miles on the turf,
  • Beverly D., $700,000 (Grade 1) Fillies and Mares 1 3/16 miles on the turf,
  • Secretariat, $450,000 (Grade 1) 3-year-olds, 1 ¼ miles on the turf.

"The Arlington Million is a signature event contested on a day full of tremendous racing," said Tony Allevato, Executive Producer of NYRA TV. "That's why we're thrilled to expand Saratoga Live to include coverage of the big races at Arlington Park on August 13."

"We look at this as a great opportunity to showcase one of the best days of turf races of the year to the entire country."

The Fourstardave at Saratoga, which received Grade 1 status for 2016, has been won by such stars as Wise Dan, Seek Again, Lure and Fourstardave himself, who won at least one race at the Spa each year from 1987 to 1994, including two editions of the race that now bears his name.

The 6 ½-furlong Adirondack, which is celebrating its 100th running this year, is on the resumes of some of the best fillies in history, including stars such as Storm Song, My Miss Aurelia, and Cavorting.

Saratoga Live will air from 4-7 p.m. ET on MSG+, from 4:30-7 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 2 and from 5-7 p.m. on the Altitude Sports Network.
