NYRA paddock analyst Maggie Wolfendale-Morley is this week's guest on Across the Board with Andy Serling, now available for download.
Wolfendale-Morley joined Serling on Friday morning April 6 at Aqueduct Racetrack to talk about her introduction to thoroughbred racing being born into a racing family and her journey to becoming a paddock analyst on nationally televised programs for NYRA.
Born and raised in Columbia, Maryland, Wolfendale-Morley is the daughter of Maryland trainer Howard Wolfendale. Practically raised on the racetrack, she also competed in dressage and attended Towson University in Maryland before pursuing a career in racing.
Prior to joining NYRA in October of 2010, she served as a television analyst at Pimlico Race Course and Colonial Downs. Well respected for her race day analysis, Wolfendale-Morley discussed her daily preparation behind discussing horses for each race as well as her lifelong connection to the game including marrying trainer Tom Morley in October of 2015 and giving birth to their daughter Grace in November of last year.
