NYRA Bets to offer 5% rebate on Opening Week wagers at Belmont Park

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) today announced it will offer a five percent rebate on wagers placed on races at Belmont Park via NYRA Bets from Wednesday, June 3 through Sunday, June 7, Opening Week of the Belmont spring / summer meet.

The five percent rebate is available exclusively to NYRA Bets members. With the exception of show bets, the five percent rebate is available on all wagers placed on races conducted at Belmont Park from June 3 - June 7.

NYRA Bets is the official online wagering platform of the 25-day Belmont spring/summer meet, which will feature 40 total stakes races worth $7 million.The condensed spring/summer meet, which will be conducted without spectators, includes 22 graded stakes and begins on Wednesday, June 3. The opening day program is headlined by the Grade 3, $100,000 Beaugay at 1 1/16-miles on the turf for fillies and mares, 4-years-old and up.

The stakes action continues on Thursday, June 4 with the $80,000 Tiller, at 1 3/8-miles on the turf for older horses and on Friday with the $80,000 Harmony Lodge, a six-furlong sprint for fillies and mares, 4-years-old and up.

The Grade 1, $250,000 Runhappy Carter Handicap, a seven-furlong sprint for 4-year-olds and upward offering a berth in the Breeders' Cup Sprint, will anchor a lucrative Saturday, June 6 card.

Saturday's stakes-laden affair will also include the Grade 2, $150,000 Fort Marcy at 1 1/8-miles on the turf for older horses; the Grade 3, $100,000 Westchester at 1 1/16-miles for 4-year-olds and up; and the Grade 3, $100,000 Intercontinental, a seven-furlong turf sprint for fillies and mares, 4-years-old and up.

The $80,000 First Defence, a seven-furlong turf sprint for 4-year-olds and up, on Sunday, June 7, concludes a hotly-anticipated first week of live racing action from beautiful Belmont Park.
